Evelyn Hilda Burkitt at Grand Central

Evelyn Hilda Burkitt was the first suffragette to be imprisoned after she threw a stone at Lord Asquith’s car in Birmingham when he came for a meeting of financiers in 1909. This 2018 installation at New Street Station was by Helen Marshall.
